XMACX Monthly | June 2024
Hello! A little different XMACX Monthly update than usual. If you read the previous update, I'm closing my Patreon at the end of June. There's a lot that's been going on in my personal life that have been emotionally taxing and stressful. I won't rehash everything here, but TLDR, I think it's in my best interest to lessen my work load and focus on my mental health and general well-being.
What'll happen this month?
Basically, I'll publish all the expected updates: the Art Process video, the wallpaper, the FBW update, and the Ippon update as usual, along with the few updates I missed last month.
What will happen to Ippon?
I'll share the update I missed last month along with the update this month. After that, I'll work on the comic on my own time with a plan to debut the completed comic at Citrus Con in late August.
What will happen to Froot Basket White?
I will continue to work on Froot Basket White and share updates every so often on Twitter/X and Tumblr, maybe even Instagram.
What will happen to XMACX Monthly?
I really enjoy the character polls, so I will continue to host those polls on social media and share the monthly updates on platforms that allow long-form posts: Tumblr and Itch Devlogs/Posts. I'm considering adding a blog feature to my website too, but we'll see.
I'm pretty bummed out about this decision, but I feel that it really is the best thing I can do for myself and my family. I'm mostly disappointed in myself because I couldn't keep up with the goals I set, but realistically, I'm not sure anyone should try to manage so many things at once and expect to come out sane. I am... tired and have been tired for far too long. It is hard to remain positive when I feel I have no rest and I almost feel robotic pretending that I am okay. Wow. That all sounds pretty heavy, but I think I'll be fine. I just need less stress.
I'm not leaving any of the projects I've been working on here behind! I'll be on social media, vibing and relaxing. But please know that I very much appreciate all your support. I am grateful for all of you! Thank you thank you so much for following me, interacting with my stuff, and encouraging me! I won't stop creating, I'll just be doing it without worrying about not doing it.
Much Aloha,
Ari
